Considering at least half the students at Ohio are Buckeye fans, myself included, most people arent going to think that.

Here's my opinion about NIU, they are a fantastic team, IN THE MAC, Wolfe and Doug Free are phenomonal players, IN THE MAC. If NIU was in any BCS conference they would be at the bottom of the barrel and Doug Free and Wolfe would not be considered the amazing players they are being considered as now, they are both great players and I am not taking anything away from them or the NIU program, but NIU rarely plays teams as good as this Buckeye team which is why i believe Ohio State runs away with this game.

Now wait a minute...didn't you see that Wolfe ran for 148 yards against Michigan and 245 yards against Northwestern last year? :roll1:

Why is that? I got my BSCS from Hawaii Pacific, and if HPU ever played Ohio State in volleyball (HPU is a small-college powerhouse), I'd still root for Ohio State.

Clearly you don't know the dynamics of Ohio collegiate football. If you go to another school, even MAC schools, more often than not, Ohio State is your surrogate football team. Just ask how many posters here went to, or currently go to Miami, Kent, BGSU, UC, Ohio, Akron, and Toledo. Some of the most die-hard OSU fans I know never stepped on campus as a student.

actually, all the fans of the MAC schools are offended when you don't root for the MAC school you attended. it's the definition of little brother syndrome.

I have not as of yet gone to OSU, although I still plan on a MBA, so all is not lost. I am also a fan of OU, no one was cheering louder than my for the Pitt game last year. I would root for OSU if they played and I am not at all ashamed of myself. I grew up for 18 years before I attended college bleeding scarlet and gray, why should that change becuase for the last 4 years of my life I choose to get an education somewhere else? And how can that change just because I decided to go somewhere else. I choose OU for many reasons, not one of which was football or any other athletic program. Love is blind, the heart wants what it wants, etc. I love my Buckeyes and no one's ever going to change that.

This is exactly what MAC fans don't understand. The Miami crowd couldn't get past this at all. Nice post.
