My basement has no bad seats. Of course, it's just a couch. So three people can watch TV. But they're all comparable to a 50-yard-line seat in a football stadium.

I don't think "no bad seats" is something you can brag about, especially if you add that it looks like a high school stadium.

Why do you assume that I'm bragging? I'm just stating a fact, there are no bad seats. The fact that I mentioned it looks like a high school stadium should have made it obvious that I wasn't bragging. Okay, now you can go back to bragging about your perfect team that has no weaknesses.

Is there anything you don't whine about? What exactly is it you expect from a board full of OSU fans who have the #1 ranked team in the country? Fear? Anxiety? Quaking in our boots? Visits to the astrologer? Peeing down our legs at the thought of playing Wolfe? What, exactly? Because it seems obvious you came over here expecting to find a bunch of fans who are abjectly terrified we are going to lose the first game because you beat Maryland 3 years ago. Not sure where your expectations come from for that, but as confident as you are you are going to keep the game close, we are equally confident that the 2006 Huskies are not in the same vicinity of the class that the 2006 Buckeyes are. As has been said since page 3, nothing is going to change any minds except the final scoreboard on the 2nd. So feel free to continue to discuss the game in any fashion you like, but your whining about the confidence of posters here in our team isn't going to change anything.

How about when somebody says something about NIU that is positive, you don't go baaaaaaaah you suck! We are better!

He was talking about our stadium and it had nothing to do with our team, and somebody still had something negative to say.

That particular incident is between those two posters, but in general I can say that a) a few people have said Northern Illinois sucks, but generally people have respect for what the program has accomplished the past several years, and b) everyone here probably thinks OSU is better pretty much in every way....which is natural, isn't it? Why is that bad on an OSU board? Didn't you expect that? No one says you can't defend or promote your team or school, but you can't expect people here to react to that the same way your own fans do.

Not one time has myself or an NIU fan brought up anything about NIU that was positive and not have somebody say something negative about it. If it is about the game or the Buckeyes it is perfectly understandable for Buckeye fans to say something negative, but it is annoying when everythinhg is OMG NIU SUCKS BAAAAH.

I guess maybe that is what I should expect, but I would think your fans are better then that.

And in general they are better than that, especially around here. But as you can probably tell, there are also people around here who "push buttons" a little (or a lot). When you react to it, you have accomplished exactly what they wanted. We have had lots of MAC teams come to our stadium in the past several years...some we have destroyed, and some have given us a much bigger tussle than we thought. The people here know what is going on...you just can't take the bait, and instead should concentrate on the fans who are discussing football. Maybe that's not fair, but that's life on a message board. I think you get a great deal less smack talk, and a great deal more respect, from most of the people around here compared to most other fan sites...concentrate on interacting with those people.
