Euron’s a clown, but I have to admit, he’s the only one getting-shit-done. Yes, Cersei’s playing him, too, but he’s just fucked a queen and shot down a dragon. Nobody else in the 7K has done that. Not to mention, delivering the Sand Snakes, destroying the fleet at Casterly Rock, bringing the Golden Company over (no elephants, though) and kidnapping Missandei. Makes me wish they had a better actor or that actor acting less buffoonish. We need more Negan and less Beetlejuice out of him.

He's probably going to "off" Cersei as she's carrying an heir to the throne. :evil:

They should do the prequel, Robert’s Rebellion, and then they can’t fuck it up with their shitty writing.

A sequel with the children sounds horrendous.

Also, I forgot to complain about the laziest ending possible for Ghost - just send him north with the wildlings.

It is perfectly in character for the show since they’ve ignored and killed off the direwolves to avoid the hassle of shooting and/or animating an extra big wolf, but it’s still super lame.

I guess they’re in a hard spot, but at this point, why did they even keep Ghost around at all? other than everyone liked him and his connection with Jon, and hate that they ignored him and ignored that connection - it’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation I guess, but still annoying.

Let's see if Euron realizes something is up - I can't remember, was there a reaction from him when Tyrion started talking about her pregnancy? You have to wonder if he's a little freaked out about Tyrion knowing about 'his' child. I still think he's working a double-cross on Cersei (who is almost certainly working one on him too).

Pretty sure she’s bought into Maggie the frog’s prediction for her. Even if she did have another kid it wouldn’t end well. At this point I figure Cersei is just trying to take out as many SOBs as she can before she’s murdered.

Next episode guesses.. includes family cleanup day.. is it also good-guy day... gotta be surprises...
Jaime takes out Cersei; to make amends / atone for the shared hateful trait he spoke of
Hound takes out Mountain (and/or Arya helps).. this one has to be mega gory. gruesome and epic;
.....but after Mountain also kills Grey Worm; could see Arya dying to save The Hound from Mountain and then the Hound rebounds to take out The Mountain in a last ditch dying rage
Yara takes out Euron; or somehow destroys his fleet or leads to a mutiny that Greyjoy soldiers come back to her
Somebody has to take out Bronn; could be Brienne or Turmund since both stayed back but no way he ends up with Highgarden; could see him hedging his bets and helping take out Cersei
.....to increase his odds to get Highgarden
and I don't like Qyburn either... so somebody has to get him

By its very nature, the huge set of storylines converge into only a few and the expansive “realm” shrinks which makes for a less fantastical story. That was always going to be troublesome for the show. And frankly, fighting for the throne was always going to seem anticlimactic compared to the fight for humanity. So that’s where the story lies. Would probably be better if there was no “wrapping up” or ending of the story, just more tension. Perhaps that will ultimately be how it ends.

While I didn’t enjoy the first 2 episodes as much I haven’t faulted the next two as much. Everyone has differing opinions on almost every storyline so it’s hard to please everyone. I’ve heard several complaints here that I agree with and at least as many others I disagree with.

My only real complaint about the story writing at this point is that there seems to be a desire on their behalf to satisfy fans. There have been multiple interviews where the exec producers said they knew the fans wanted [something], and that’s a shame. I would argue that they shouldn’t care at all what fans want and should just write a good story and hope that fans get it.

Bran may still turn out to be the Night King (where was he when he warged?)! Hell, the only thing certain is there will (hopefully) be a couple big twists: Tyrion is the Mad King's bastard, there's another dragon, Arya kills Cersei wearing Jaime's face...the theories are as exciting as the show at this point. I'm really rooting against happily ever after and Jon on the throne. (Of course I hoped for the death of at least one major character in the MASH finale. Sheesh, was that a bore.)
