GA WR Demarre Kitt (Clemson signee; transfer to ???)

11W - Catching Up with Demarre Kitt: OSU Offer

11/19

It's not hard to notice the Buckeyes are in need of playmakers at the wide receiver position.

The staff is out on the recruiting trail trying to bring offensive weapons to Columbus for the class of 2013 in the form of James Quick, Shelton Gibson, MarQuez North, and other top prospects at the position.

While the class of 2013 is expected to finish strong when it comes to receivers, the 2014 class is loaded at the position and one of the country's best was recently offered by Ohio State: Tyrone (GA) Sandy Creek's Demarre Kitt, a recent Georgia de-commit.

At 6-1/180, Kitt boasts offers from some of the top colleges in the country including Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, USC, and many others. He is rated as a consensus four-star prospect and had a 247 composite ranking as the seventh best wide receiver in the country and 91st best player overall.

Alex spoke to Kitt earlier this year when he took a visit to Ohio State and enjoyed his time on campus despite most of the Buckeye coaches being on vacation. Now with an offer in hand, he is looking to make a return visit to Columbus in 2013, naming the Bucks among his top five along with Georgia, USC, Clemson, and Florida.

Clemson has done a great job recruiting the past few years. Surely, I hope that doesn't last...

It shouldn't because it's not like the influx of talent has resulted in that many more wins.
But you can never tell what recruits want in a school.

Flipping Watson from Clempsum could be pretty huge here.

Bingo and I think we do. In '14, I see us completely cleaning up Georgia with Watson, McMillan, Orlando Brown, and quite realistically Kitt and Glass with those guys recruiting for us. Heck, we could end up with more the way we are peppering the state with offers lately.

Outside of McMillan & Watson, I would like to see Auty in this class more than any of the other GA prospects.

Two on top for WR Demarre Kitt
December, 29, 2012
By Kipp Adams | ESPN.com

Coming off a junior season in which he caught 76 passes for 1,236 yards and 11 touchdowns, returned a punt for a touchdown, and helped his team to a 15-0 record and AAAA state championship, ESPN Watch List wideout Demarre Kitt (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek) has become one of the most sought-after Class of 2014 prospects in the Southeast.

As it stands now, two programs are on top for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior.

?Ohio State and Clemson are my top two,? Kitt said.

The success of first-year head coach Urban Meyer at Ohio State has made them the hot name among top recruits at the Rising Seniors program.

?I like the tradition at Ohio State and I like what Urban Meyer has done there taking them 12-0 this year,? Kitt said. ?Me, Stanley Williams, DeShaun Watson, Nick Glass, Dante Sawyer, Raekwon McMillan and Milan Richard have all been talking about Ohio State.?

247 - Georgia Junior Bowl Day 2 Notes

12/29

*Four-star receiver Demarre Kitt of Sandy Creek had a little bit of a scare at practice Saturday, when he was injured while leaping to make a catch on a slant route. After landing on his stomach, Kitt writhed on the ground, obviously in a good bit of pain. A few minutes later, though, he was up and walking around, though he watched the remainder of the practice from the sideline.

"I felt like something just popped out of place," Kitt said.

According to Kitt, who calls Clemson and Ohio State his co-leaders, he strained his hamstring but should be able to play in Monday's game.

As for his recruitment, Kitt, most recently offered by Michigan State, said he thinks Oregon and Texas A&M could be next.
