Side note. I like the order of schools here. A nice spelling in the middle.

Ohio State football’s most important recruiting target became an even bigger must get following a weekend development

Ohio State hosted David Gabriel Georges for his official visit over the weekend. It now has become more of a must for the Buckeyes to land their top recruiting target.

Ohio State offered Newkirk back in December and was set to host the 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back for an official visit on June 12. The visit will no longer happen and the Buckeyes will have to turn elsewhere if they aren’t able to get Gabriel Georges. Newkirk was the No. 16 player in the class and No. 230 player nationally, per 247 Sports Composite.

Will be interesting to see if Lock can move the needle here. Newkirk has said he's totally locked in with Bama
...But, it's not like Bama needs him badly. They return their top3 RBs next season, and have two awesome true freshman, one of which, Trae'shawn Brown, has been a revelation as a low 3* late-add, who they're going to have to certainly give a big pay bump too.

In the era of the Portal, no one returns anyone anymore
