2028 DE Cassell Cruickshank and DT Jamarcus Johnson

From a recruiting perspective, no Ohio State assistant has a bigger weekend ahead than Larry Johnson, as two of the best defensive linemen in the entire 2028 class are expected at Ohio Stadium for Saturday’s game.

Johnson, the No. 5 defensive lineman and No. 29 overall prospect in the 2028 class, makes his way to Columbus less than one month after receiving his offer from the Buckeyes. A massive defensive tackle at 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds, Johnson – who lives in Lyons, Georgia – would add some beef to the future of the Buckeyes’ defensive line, which should be a priority with how they’ve missed the dominant presence of Kayden McDonald in the middle of the trenches this season.
