2027 GA DL David "DJ" Jacobs is a Buckeye!!!

Per 11w poster:
DJ Jacobs post visit interview with Tom Loy summarized:

Gave a shoutout to The Eagle for an amazing pregame meal, said he loved it at Ohio State and was happy to be out there.

Said he paid attention to the entire defense but mostly Kenyatta, noted his 8 pressures on the day and said he was proud to see everyone on defense eating.

Said he spent great time with Ryan Day before and after the game, it’s like family with him. Also said Patricia is one of his favorite coaches on the staff, said he and Patricia are going to have some great talks and a great relationship over the next few years.

Loy noted that Jacobs couldn’t be happier with his Ohio State commitment and will be back later this fall (Oregon and Michigan) and Jacobs mentioned to him that any other visits he takes are to support Dawson, that’s it.

Ohio State football fans can breathe easy after DJ Jacobs visited Georgia

Fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes shouldn't worry about the top recruit in the 2027 recruiting class.

The top recruit in the 2027 recruiting class for the Ohio State Buckeyes is DJ Jacobs. He has been locked in with the Buckeyes since December. Despite that fact, multiple programs have tried to flip Jacobs, including Oregon. Although that might not work after they lost to Oklahoma State.

Jacobs and his entire family were in the Shoe for Week 1 against Ball State. He seems to be very committed to Ohio State. However, some fans were concerned after he visited Georgia over the weekend. Now, they can breathe easy, as he wasn't there for himself.

Ohio State recruit DJ Jacobs visits Georgia to support his brother

Jacobs was in Athens while his younger brother Dawson was on a visit. Based on what Trevor Michael of Dawn of the Dawg believes, Ohio State should feel good about its chances of holding on to the best edge recruit in the country.

"Maybe Georgia will make up more ground in the coming months, but for now, no one should count on Jacobs flipping to UGA as he still looks locked in with the Buckeyes," Michael wrote.

Jacobs has had countless examples of showing that he is not going to be anywhere other than Columbus next season. Despite multiple other programs trying to woo him with higher NIL offers, he still believes that Larry Johnson is the best coach to develop him into a first-round draft pick.

Not only will Jacobs have that opportunity, but he will be able to compete for a national championship while playing for the Buckeyes. NIL is certainly a factor in his recruitment, but it's pretty clear that it isn't the only factor. That's the perfect kind of player for Ryan Day.

Dawon Jacobs has taken a couple of visits to Columbus, too. There is a chance that he ends up wanting to follow DJ to Columbus, but that remains to be seen. Dawson is part of the 2028 recruiting class. He is a solid player, but he's not a blue-chip prospect like his older brother.

I agree with the sentiment that we have nothing to worry about here. All Buckeye. And if he watched the Texas game and saw Arch reading the Columbus Dispatch back in the pocket with all the time he had to throw, he should know he'll have a shot to play right away. (I know some of that was scheme, but still I expect him to play immediately here)

Great point, RB. Hopefully when DJJ shows up (wherever), and there's a candy-apple red Ferrari sitting there with a big ribbon on it, with his name, all this real stuff doesn't pale in comparison. Sounds like his Dad is more grounded than that, but one never knows.....here's hopin'.......
