Five-star Ohio State football recruiting target sets a commitment date
Xavier Griffin, a five-star linebacker recruit from Gainesville, Georgia, has set his commitment date for June 29th. Griffin is one of the prospects who will be on campus this weekend, so the Buckeyes are hoping that they can make a good impression on him.Griffin is rated as the second-best linebacker in the country. He stands at 6'3 and 200 pounds and is very fast for a linebacker. He's someone who does an excellent job of stopping the run and rushing the passer. Quite frankly, he's a unique blend of skills that the Buckeyes would love to have.
Other than Ohio State, Griffin also has Florida State, Texas, Alabama, and Georgia in his final list of schools. While the Buckeyes are not projected to land Griffin, they still have a shot with him based on how his visit goes this weekend. They have a good closing rate once they get recruits in the building.
