Carter Scott converts a layup during the the first half of the 1979 NIT runnerup game against Alabama. The Crimson Tide would go on to win 96-86.

Im loving these old photots Ive been finding. especially the bball players from the 70's-80's

I first saw Carter Scott in 76 or 77. Grandparents took me to Barberton to see our school (East Liverpool) take on the Magics. EL had a good team, 13-7 I think, but Scott and the Bodnar twins (both went to TTUN) were ridiculous. Scott played center, was about half a foot shorter than ours but it didn't matter. It was something like 66-27 at halftime, and ended about 112-69 IIRC. I think they finished undefeated and won State that year.

That was 1977.

The 1976 game was when we almost upset them at home, 55-54 (1:10 of video). They went 26-0.
