please dont take this the wrong way...but my brother is alive today only because he wasnt wearing his seatbelt...

My ex-girlfriend's mother is alive only for that very same reason. Because she did not wear her seatbelt. To this day she will not wear one now.

Very sorry to hear about BFC's Mom and my thoughts are with the the family.

As for wearing seat belts - it is a gamble. Clearly there are situations where seatbelts will cause deaths. But the odds are the other way.
