Absolutely correct. If you're going to spam a forum, don't make your first post one on two sentences long.

Dominate the hell out of that post. Throw in some documentary clips, pictures of hoops players from 5 years ago. Animated gifs of the planet earth.
Give as much information as possible. That's they way you make internet friends.
