If you guys watched the Gannon Fight... you"ll notice he chokes Kimbo against the wall. It was a somewhat "illeagel" move. Gannon was tough, he had UFC expirience.... so I'm not gonna say Kimbo should have won that outright. But... this is a different animal of a sport. Different rules pertain to different fights. There are many different styles of fighting and arts used. The thing about Kimbo is he's thick... a straight boxer would have a difficult time knocking him out. He's about 6' 3" 260 with little body fat and he has good hand speed. If you guys saw the infamous fight with the big black dude and Kimbo... you'd see Kimbo lets the guy have free shots on him.... now that's sick. The fights are done about every other month... wait untill some of the recent ones are released.... nasty. The Gannon fight was the only time Kimbo "lost"... and it was a while back. These guys are getting more organized. Gannon probably would not win in a rematch. I've watched some big boys get run through.

You're telling me a trained boxer would have a tough time knocking him out?

I don't buy it.

It's like fighting a trained wrestler, once they get you down, you're fucked.

If he's such a badass, why isn't he dominating in UFC?

I'm telling you buddy... this is a different animal. Sure a Vlad Klitchko or Antonio Tarver could run it with him. Boxing is only one skill, these guys train in many different styles of martial arts. And you're not using gloves.... There have been opponents from all sorts of backgrounds. Again like I said they're getting more organized and you'll see "team Kimbo" in more sanctioned fights against the best. He's going to Hawaii to fight a guy that is a UFC fighter.

Right now this is a buisness first... competion second. All the fights are used as footage to sell their "underground" websites and discs. So he works solely for the people that put on the fights. The better the fights look... the more money they make. Obviously they're doing something right that people outside of South Florida have heard of them. You may see them in UFC soon.... it depends. But no... they're not chicken. This is only the begining... they're looking to take this to another level. That's why I said... barely any of the recent fights have even been released... it's a business.

Wouldn't a better "business decision" be to go where the money already is and rake that in, UFC?

I don't know how much the UFC guys are making. But the fights are only a small piece of the pie. These guys own Inthevip which has milf hunter, captinstabbin etc.... Kimbo is loyal to Mike the owner. He's Mike's personal bodyguard everyday. So, he's taken care of real well. Like I said... you probably will see Kimbo in the UFC at some point. But they're doing fine right now.

Legit question here, you have seen this guy fight more recently than I have, I've only seen a few of his fights, including the "infamous" one you spoke of earlier (that fight was actually the first I had heard of Kimbo), but I'm wondering, has he worked on ground attacks at all? Because most of the people he will be encountering from now on as they work their way up are more than likely aware of who Kimbo is and probably won't be in a big hurry to fight him toe to toe.

Kimbo is a hell of a fighter on his feet, but the first time somebody takes him to the ground, and you know they will, can he hold his own?

They'll get prepared for whoever they face. I am way more familar with my boys training regiment than Kimbo's. That's my in. My boy Rey will be facing someone next that will allow kicks and he's training with Remy Bonnel a Kick boxing champion. But in bareknuckle if you knock someone down you can't attack them.... they get "counted'. If Kimbo goes into UFC I'm sure he'll train some ju-jitsu and other arts. I'm not too sure about his mat skills... i can find out though. And BTW I try and colonize all these guys into being Buckeye fans.... and it's working.

Just an update for you guys Kimbo will fight Ray Mercer in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships in June in Atlantic City. Right now he is a 5:1 underdog. I may end up going up there for it.

Ex-boxer Ray Mercer?

I'm surprised he's not 50:1.

I am not familiar with that organization, is this going to be closer to a boxing match or MMA rules? Because if it's MMA I can't imagine Ray Mercer having any sort of ground skill at all.
