Former DC Kerry Coombs (Former Cincy Bearcats Interim Head Coach)

He must have been well liked by the players or Wade would have most likely gone to get paid.

No, I believe that Wade is "rolling the dice" and hopes to be a 1st round pick in 2021 in lieu of a 2nd or 3rd round pick that he would likely be in 2020. He definitely has the potential to have an "Okudah shutdown corner" type of year in 2020. Jeffery Okudah is projected to go in the top five (maybe 3rd) this year, last year the #5 guy (Devin White) got $29,315.814 over 4 years. I think Wade's decision is all about the money; however, Coombs quite possibly will make him a better CB in 2020 than Hafley would have, which is just "icing on the cake".

I just hope he can develop his players on the same level as Billy Davis did with his LB's.
