If I am a young dude being recruited, I trust Jean-Mary more. I think many will. Coombs has experience, but not much more. I think the bigger problem is we don't cheat and they and the other big schools do.

I hate them. I hate them with every cell in my body.

Pretty sure Coombs can point to a bunch of mother fuckers in the NFL that he coached and that he was one win away from the Super Bowl.

They can still lose their position coach in February, like Mike Weber did. 8D The early signing period is good for recruits who are committing to a school, not a coach.

if you are a ‘young dude’ and you don’t want to play for Kerry Coombs, as @Jaxbuck would say, you aren’t Buckeye material.

I remember late summer of 87 we (Colerain) were scrimmaging Lakota (before the split). this young coach for Lakota was all over the field. yelling, cussing, getting in players faces...somebody mentioned that he was a former Colerain player. I remember a couple of guys saying they wished he was one of our coaches. found out later that it was coach Coombs. even dudes on the other side wanted to play for him way back then.

You say this as if you’d have a choice. He’d be running up and down the side of your house at 3am, screaming at your window while holding the paperwork and a pen in his mouth.

Glad to have him back. This makes my offseason a lot brighter just knowing he’ll be ready to gnash teeth come Fall. Can’t wait.
