I wonder why he went to that particular barber shop.

Just sayin': Back in 1965 and/or 1966 there was a story (and I believe that it was true) that Woody would drive to Lancaster to get his hair cut. The reason....de facto recruiting.....Rex Kern's father was the barber......8D

Here is Coombs' reaction, via WCPO.com:

“I am very grateful,” Coombs said this week. “I am flattered. It’s a cool thing.”

“The sports tradition in Hamilton County is phenomenal,” said Coombs, who is the cornerbacks coach/special teams coordinator with the Buckeyes. “To be a part of that is really gratifying.”

Coombs is set to be honored Friday night at 7 p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus in Carthage, Ohio.

Somewhere in the dim recesses of what['s left of my brain, I seem to remember that Coombs has charge of special teams? Am I in error? Methinks that Kerry and Urban share responsibility for them? Probably wrong, because no one is calling for his head after the two blocks at Penn St. thanks a bunch. Go Bucks.
