If you smoke in your house, how do you stand it?

First off, I'm a non-smoker but I went to an OSU vs. scUM party Saturday where there was about 40 people or so. There were so many people smoking there that I could hardly stand it. I had to walk outside a few times just to clear out my nose.

When I left, my throat hurt, my eyes were red, and my clothes reaked.

I CAN"T STAND when I come home and my clothes smell like smoke. Then you take a shower and you can smell the smoke smell coming off of you as you wash your hair.

I just don't know how people live like that.

Same goes to those people who smoke in their cars. I've seen smokers who've gotten a new car and within a week of owning their car, it smelled like an ashtray.

My wife and I put a lot of energy into to fixing up our house so everyone knows that there is no smoking inside. We have ashtrays outside for family members who smoke.

Smoke outside at my house. I could give a shit about the smell. I can't smell, so I don't care. I dont' smoke around my kids, is why.

I smoke in the house. though unless i happen to be smoking at the time, i doubt you would ever know. smells like fresh rain on a spring day if you ask me.

People who smoke, i do smoke about a pack every three days and i used to go outside and smoke, but now i say "hell with it"

yes, It does make your clothes rank and my place does smell of cigs. I use them air freshners that you plug in to make it smell better and light candles.

I can tell you as a non-smoker that your air freshners still won't make a difference.

I can attest to that. Since I've quit smoking, I notice that things smell completely different than they used to. Cologne is a big one. I also noticed that spicy foods are a little spicier now.

I can't think of anyone in my social circle or family (besides my dumbass brother who smokes in his car) that smokes. I don't even know anyone who owns an ashtray.

I'm actually doing a lot better than I expected. I slip up a little when I'm drinking and have a few, but other than that, I've been smoke free for going on 3 months now. Wow... 3 months, sure doesn't seem like it's been that long. I don't even think about cigarettes when I'm not drinking.
