Hope he is recognized posthumously at the "ring presentation ceremony/banquet" and they give a championship ring to his family.

Was thinking the same. I'm guessing Bennett will make sure it happens.
There is absolutely zero chance that Kosta is going to be forgotten/left out...

Kosta Karageorge had concussions

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An Ohio State athlete who committed suicide had suffered concussions but didn't show evidence of trauma affecting the brain, a coroner said Friday.

Wrestler and football scout team member Kosta Karageorge, who was 22, had been missing for several days when his body was found in a trash bin in Columbus not far from his campus-area apartment on Nov. 30. A handgun was found near his right hand.

Dr. Anahi Ortiz had waited for neuropathology reports about Karageorge's brain before making Friday's announcement. Ortiz had previously said Karageorge killed himself with a gunshot to the head. She says her determination that it was a suicide won't change.

Investigators concluded that Karageorge and his girlfriend broke up around the time he disappeared on Nov. 26.

Karageorge texted his girlfriend after 1 a.m. that day, saying he loved her and wanted to talk, according to text records released by police this year. When he received responses asking him not to speak again to the sender, he replied, "I am gonna kill myself," and he said that she shouldn't go to his funeral, the records show.

Cont'd ...

National titles in both wrestling and football immediately after his death. Obviously there is no way to make KK's death make sense but getting titles in both of the sports he loved brings some sort of healing I hope. It can only go so far but he gave his heart to both sports and I really hope he is enjoying this somewhere. At the very least, I hope his family and friends can see the profound impact he had on the lives of the athletes that went out and battled to victory in his honor. RIP Kosta.

Yep. To think that he wasn't a serious motivating factor for both programs would be a mistake.

A poster on Reddit posted the following in response to that article:
Throwaway because I really don’t want to be identified, but my family is pretty close to the Karageorge’s

Hearing about what Ohio State did for Kosta was great. After his death they paid off all his outstanding loans, student and auto. Urban checked in with George and Susan ever so often, and football players (Zeke is the only one that I remember, but there were others) would go over to their house ever so often too. And after the championship win, they gave the family a championship ring

I definitely respected OSU more after hearing all that

Obviously this is entirely sad and horrible. But at least I can gain 1% back in respect for Urban, the team, and the University. He may be a fallen Buckeye, but always a Buckeye.
