Florida's been around since 1990 or longer

BOOOM!! Congratulations, you're a moron!
I remember reading all your posts.. your argument was UF's national titles aren't all that great because they play cupcakes and don't leave the state of Flordia.

The cupcake argument is [censored]. Everyone plays cupcakes. I love that tOSU adds a USC or a Texas to the schedule. But, our in-confrence games aren't nearly as competetive as UF's - so I would think they cancel out. Especially when we're playing a 1-AA team ourselves.

As for leaving the state of Flordia.. Gator already blew your half baked theory out of the water as they play FSU every year OOC.

So I guess what I'm really trying to say is, you're embarrassing me as a Buckeye fan with your stupidity and laziness. Suck on those chinese nuts
Chinese nuts?

Ughhh, no my argument was not that florida's titles aren't all that great because they play cupcakes, winning a national title is winning a national title. I'm simply pointing out that florida doesn't challenge themselves at all during out of conference games.

Additionally, yes everyone plays cupcakes, but it is especially true in the sec. That was my argument.

Also, how can you say that our in-conference games aren't nearly as competitive as floridas? Conference play is conference play, USC plays pac-10 football better than any other pac-10 team, up until this past year. Ohio State plays Big 10 football better than any other Big 10 team right now. Texas plays Big 12 football better than any other Big 12 team right now. Currently, florida and alabama play sec football better than the rest of the sec, but if florida had to come play Big 10 football week in and week out in Big 10 stadiums, I guarantee they would struggle, just as Ohio State would struggle as well down in the sec week in and week out.

You clearly missed this part of my original argument:

I also think it is hysterical that Ohio State got so much shit for playing Youngstown State two times (the only 1AA team we've played since 1942 when we crushed Fort Knox 59-0) while Florida has played 15 1AA schools in the last 30 years and 80 total in their "storied" past.

Again, original argument:

here's a look at Florida's non-conference opponents since 1990, excluding occasional rivals Miami(FL), and rival Florida State:

msj - you've been sitting here in this thread since my last post.. should I expect some epic 5000 word rebuttal - ending in "BOOOMMM!! NUTS!"?
Yessir, except I don't believe I wrote 5000 words in my rebuttal, and again make sure you lighten up once in a while and check out The Hangover, it's a funny movie. Except, judging from this convo with you, you might be the type of person who sits there watching a movie and says, "pfft, that could never happen!"

M*ch*g*n is down.. PSU is good every 2/3 years.. Iowa is good every 3/4 years.. MSU is good every 4 years.. Wisky is good every 2 years..

The SEC is stronger right now today and, IMHO, the SEC was stronger than the Big 10 over the last 10 years.

Thats how I can say that.

I don't disagree that if you bring these teams up north they would struggle, but thats in imaginary land - the bowl games are all down south - or way out west.

WHO IS ARGUING FLORDIA IS AS "STORIED" AS OHIO STATE?!?

Not me.

No one is saying UF is the best program of all time.. they aren't an Ohio State, M*ch*g*n, Notre Dame.. they're much more comparable with Da U as far as their "storied" history goes (at least from an outside, sorry gator).

You clearly haven't seen The Hangover.
You're a ratard.

Circle back around to my original point. How do we know the sec is stronger, when they don't play anyone out of conference except for Sun Belt, Conference USA, and D1AA schools. They load up a cupcake out of conference schedule, and by week 4/5 they have 6 or 7 teams undefeated (from beating nobody's) all ranked in the top 25, so you have #1 florida vs. #24 South Carolina and everyone tunes in expecting an amazing game because they're both 4-0 and ranked in the top 25. The sec must be supreme right? Then, for the rest of the season, the argument turns into, oh man the sec is so good, look how many teams are in the top 25, man they just beat each other up in conference, its soooo hard to run that gauntlet.

And in the end, as you alluded to, the sec gets to then "challenge" themselves in home field advantage bowl games after they've had 12 weeks to play together and fine tune everything in their offensive and defensive schemes. That's where I call bullshit.

1.) I don't even know what your orginal point is anymore.

2.) How do I know the SEC is stronger over the last 10 years?

They've won 4 straight national titles, dude.

so I will continue to point out any and all reasons to debunk their success no matter what. Deal with it.
You've obviously got some kind of an agenda..

Let's face it though, the 2007 title game was pretty much a sham, Ohio State didn't deserve to be in that game, but LSU definitely didn't deserve to be there. USC/Georgia should have been the game.
