Hell Ed Orgeron just proved a few years ago that with enough talent, you can have an IQ somewhere around the average low temps of Anarctica and still win a title.

yeah...and look at 2021 and 2022....Stallions wasn't on the sidelines for scUM after game 5 or 6 this year....

The "4 best teams" argument I think can be pretty flawed. At some point on the field results have to actually matter. "Whos better" is a pretty subjective argument.

Of course we have 12 teams from here on out so my argument is a irrelevant one moving forward.

That being said I don't totally disagree with them leaving FSU out.

I absolutely hate that Bama is the one that benefited from it, but i'd say from watching the 2 games with the backups that they are clearly not a playoff caliber team without Travis. The injury thing has always been in their supposed "criteria" supposedly so it's not just something they made up on the spot. FSU in those 2 games showed that their offense is complete dog shit without Travis in there, a huge decline. If they woulda proved the be somewhat capable the result coulda been different.

Did anyone here really want to see FSU with their backup QBs struggle to even get 1st downs, let alone even get close to scoring, against scUM? (FSU was 100% going to be the 4 seed if they decided to still leave them in)
