Florida State at Wake Forest (+5.5)

I kind of wonder what Bowden was thinking when he put in Drew Weatherford, if you have made the decision on who your starting quarterback is, you stick with it, but he chose to try "a different approach" tonight and got what he deserved.

Kind of like Miami, UCLA, Michigan or Notre Dame?
Yeah. And Ohio State.

No, I wouldn't include UM, UCLA, or OSU in that group at all. UM and OSU tend to be hated equally around the country (except in East Lansing), which is to say they're on the same level as a Texas or an Oklahoma or a Florida: everyone likes to see them lose because everyone loves an upset and for the same teams not to be in the mix year after year.

But FSU ends up on a higher level of hatred, because their fans are unpleasant and spoiled. (It's common knowledge that no second-tier bowl wants FSU because their fans are among the worst travelers in all the country. They'll go to a BCS bowl or they'll stay home.) And FSU isn't exactly known for turning out class citizens. Peter Warrick, anyone? Laveranues Coles? A.J. Nicholson. Sebastien Janikowski. Adrian McPherson. I could go on, but we all know this stuff. Nobody likes the Bowden arrogance (Bobby's bad enough....Tommy and Terry are insufferable), nobody likes the tomahawk chop and their band playing it EVERY SINGLE DOWN, nobody likes the air of scandal that always hangs around the program.

im an FSU grad....buckeye fan first...their lack of discipline continues to amaze me

I thought w/ the influx of new coaches, things would change, but it just hasn't happened

Bobby needs to go....I'm tired of watching him look lost on the sideline...it was funny to me during the referee mess in the first half when they tried to get the coach alone to explain the situation and Bobby needed Chuck Amato to come over and make sure everything was ok

I mean what's the point?? The guy hardly thinks for himself...they need someone who will instill some self-discipline bottom-line....guys like Rick Trickett and Jimbo Fisher must be going crazy

Living in Southern california for 20 years now, I am gonna disagree.

UCLA brags about having 100 NC's in all sports.

Now, I brought up Michigan, and I know you've added the Bucks, but what's your claim to fame? You have more wins in football than ANY OTHER program. I am not looking at the world through scarlet and grey glasses, I am just saying what the west coast sees. We're getting pretty hated, but the buckeyes are a program that people under-estimate, however, Michigan has the one claim to fame.

You may not think of it, but FSU, Miami, Michigan and UCLA are really hated programs. Not for what they have done but for what they throw in everyone elses face.

Well, I can only go by what I see myself, but I've lived in both ACC country and Pac-10 country. And in the Navy, you talk to a lot of SEC fans and Big 12 fans (Big 12 especially, because friggin' everyone's from damn Texas.) Way I've seen it, most people tend to kind of lump Michigan and Ohio State in the same group. The Midwest gets a lot of no-respect like that. And maybe people are sick of UCLA in California, but I guarantee you outside of Cali, nobody really cares, because a) they're not football championships and b) Duke took over the basketball crown in everyone's mind. USC is the team nobody likes.

It's not Sebastian's fault, he doesn't understand our culture

Florida St already lead D1A in penalties nearly every year, and you don't add Chuck Amato to your staff and have your penalties per game average go down.

Fewest Penalties Per Game

Year Rank ...... Name ............ Games .. Penalties . Yards .... Per Game .... Yards Per Game

2007 118 ...... Florida St. ...... 5 ...... 50 ...... 407 ...... 10.00 ...... 81.40
2006 100 ...... Florida St. ...... 13 ...... 89 ...... 697 ...... 6.85 ...... 53.62
2005 111 ...... Florida St. ...... 13 ...... 114 ...... 1018 ...... 8.77 ...... 78.31
2004 117 ...... Florida St. ...... 12 ...... 116 ...... 1034 ...... 9.67 ...... 86.17
2003 71 ...... Florida St. ...... 13 ...... 91 ...... 835 ...... 7.00 ...... 64.23
2002 88 ...... Florida St. ...... 14 ...... 109 ...... 935 ...... 7.79 ...... 66.79
2001 95 ...... Florida St. ...... 11 ...... 93 ...... 764 ...... 8.45 ...... 69.45
2000 111 ...... Florida St. ...... 12 ...... 122 ...... 1127 ...... 10.17 ...... 93.92

2006 106 ...... North Carolina St. ...... 12 ...... 86 ...... 696 ...... 7.17 ...... 58.00
2005 87 ...... North Carolina St. ...... 12 ...... 91 ...... 743 ...... 7.58 ...... 61.92
2004 115 ...... North Carolina St. ...... 11 ...... 101 ...... 779 ...... 9.18 ...... 70.82
