But FSU ends up on a higher level of hatred, because their fans are unpleasant and spoiled. (It's common knowledge that no second-tier bowl wants FSU because their fans are among the worst travelers in all the country. They'll go to a BCS bowl or they'll stay home.)

Two reasons:

1) Do you have any idea how bad the gas mileage is for monster trucks? There isn't an FSU fan alive it seems that isn't compensating for a tiny dick by driving the most absurdly large-tired truck he and his drunken buddies can create. They then join together and call it an "off road club".

2) Most of the other Bowls are held the last week of December or on Jan 1. Hello!!! They get their checks on the 1st, they don't have any money the last week of the month or the morning of the 1st. It takes time to get the check, go down to the Piggley Wiggley and get it cashed.

Living in Southern california for 20 years now, I am gonna disagree.

UCLA brags about having 100 NC's in all sports.

Up here in Oregon, all I've heard this summer/fall is that the PAC-10 is the winningest conference of all sports. To which I've asked if there is any tangible statistics to back it up. I get nothing.

Of course, the Duck and Beaver fans don't rely on their own schools. It's all about conference up here.

Now, I brought up Michigan, and I know you've added the Bucks, but what's your claim to fame? You have more wins in football than ANY OTHER program. I am not looking at the world through scarlet and grey glasses, I am just saying what the west coast sees. We're getting pretty hated, but the buckeyes are a program that people under-estimate, however, Michigan has the one claim to fame.

You may not think of it, but FSU, Miami, Michigan and UCLA are really hated programs. Not for what they have done but for what they throw in everyone elses face.

In Oregon, I'm gonna have to defer to HTM on this one. Like I said, they compare conferences more than individual teams up here. But I've only been here 2 1/2 years, so it may have been different before.
