I'll try to add a bit of Ohio relevance to this thread: Florida's Gray Horn, from Waynesfield, Ohio, helped propel the Gators to the title by winning his second straight SEC crown in the decathalon.

The Gators have also signed the top sprinter in Ohio, Gahanna's Blake Heriott. Why Florida would want an Ohio sprinter is beyond me, I thought they were all really slow.

The Florida sand turns northern fast into SEC fast. Percy Harvey was only Atlantic Coast fast until his feet touched the Florida sand given him by Corch Meyers.
