Look at the lengths that three Presidents in a row have had to go to just to make our gameday environment tolerable for visiting fans: undercover cops, buying a freakin' hotel so we could shut down the zoo that Hineygate had become, the only tailgating alcohol ban (something I disagreed with) in the Big Ten, making videos of our fans taunting visiting fans and releasing them to the public, public apologies to other fanbases.
Anyone who says that "it happens everywhere and we're no different" is part of the problem if only in an enabling sense.

Even Alex Anzalone was caught up on the fringe of the bizarre Manti Te'o saga, according to Yahoo.com.
Anzalone, the Wyomissing All-American linebacker, was at Notre Dame during the regular season while he was committed to the Fighting Irish before recently switching to Florida, where he is currently enrolled.
Anzalone put a photo of himself and Te'o, Notre Dame's All-American linebacker, on Twitter, which quickly drew comments.
Including this one: "Awww he was telling me about you! Congrats! I'm Lennay, btw, his gf. Blessings!"
That was from @lennaykay, the Twitter handle of someone alleging to be Lennay Kekua, Te'o's phantom girlfriend.
As Anzalone himself tweeted out as the Kekua saga unraveled Wednesday, "Who the heck was this?"
