Florida Gators (official thread)

It’s probably Lane.
I think he very much understands NIL and the culture of Florida is to score score score.
I think he’ll get it right there and get them into the playoffs.

However, I believe what he wants is the LSU job and that may come available.
Auburn might take a crack at Lane too, but both UF and LSU are more desirable destinations than Auburn.
I imagine is LSU then Florida for Lane. I bet he would stay at ole miss over going to the shitshow that is auburn which has high expectations and a narrow path to achieve them. He can keep cranking out 8-10 win seasons and be a hero at ole miss with full support of everyone. Ole miss has been mostly dogshit since the 60s with every coach getting a couple of 9 win seasons at best until flaming out spectacularly. Lane is the only coach in 60 years there that has sustained success.

Lane Kiffin has a base salary of $9M and it goes thru 31 Dec 2030. He is eligible for bonuses during the 2025 season, with a maximum of $2.6 million. The contract automatically extends by one year on December 8th each year, provided there is no written notice from either Kiffin or Ole Miss to terminate renewal.
Just sayin': I think it would really take a boatload full of money (i.e. maybe in the $15M range) to lure him away from Ole Miss. Kirby Smart has the biggest college football head coaching contract (i.e. $13.3M) and maybe Joey Freshwater would leave if a fully guaranteed 10 year offer topped that....

Kiffin's oldest daughter, Landry, is a student at Ole Miss. Landry has been a fixture at Ole Miss football games supporting her dad. She recently made headlines for dating LSU linebacker Whit Weeks. She said in the documentary that she helped convince Kiffin to turn down an offer to coach at Auburn.

Lane Kiffin's middle daughter Presley is a freshman outside hitter on the USC indoor volleyball team.

Kiffin's youngest child his his son, Knox, who is a quarterback at Oxford High School. Knox is a class of 2028 football recruit.
