Wait, they’re just going to skip the Saban and Meyer phase and go straight to Hartline? Do they know he’s never coached in the SEC? How can he possibly compete?

Just sayin': Florida should be looking for someone with head coaching experience and a proven ability to build up a program. Is there a Steve Spurrier 2.0 out there?
Actually after striking out with the last 4 head coaches Florida should look for a Jim Tressel 2.0, head coach who won championships at a lower level school and will take the Florida job without even asking how much money they are offering. You wouldn't have to give that guy anything close to a guaranteed 8 year $80M contract, and if he bombs out and you fire him without cause, you wouldn't be on the hook for massive millions, etc.
