I'm a firm believer in "if you have to resort to gadgets early in the game, the game is lost". Felt it against Illinois today, feel it here.

Was the play clock almost at 0? Not sure why you'd call a timeout with 3 seconds left in the quarter unless a) the play clock is about to cost you yards or b) wind a huge factor and you want to throw it/kick a fg.
