2024 FL WR Chance Robinson (Miami, FL. Verbal)

Easily the most delusional group of "fans" I've ever heard in one place, and that's saying something!
All 20 of them? Haha they are. I think you can say no to Robinson even as good as he is with this WR class and the classes before. Can't say no to Trader though. Jmo. If we have room, I would love to have Robinson, just not at the expense of other positions of need.

CHANCE ROBINSON

With Jeremiah Smith, Mylan Graham and Jeremiah McClellan already committed to OSU in 2024, adding Chance Robinson would be like adding another luxury car to an already impressive collection. Yet, it remains a possibility.

Robinson, who plays at St. Thomas Aquinas with Rodriguez and Lyle, visited Columbus for the Western Kentucky game last month and could make another visit for the Penn State game on Oct. 21. Never count out Brian Hartline in wide receiver recruiting, and OSU just might land four prized wideouts in yet another cycle if everything goes right.

CHANCE ROBINSON

While Ohio State is perfectly happy with its wide receiver corps of Jeremiah Smith, Jeremiah McClellan and Mylan Graham, the Buckeyes would love to add another wideout of Robinson’s caliber if they can flip him from his Miami commitment. Robinson visited OSU in September and is expected to take an official visit to Columbus for the Michigan State game next week. While it will be difficult to flip him from the Hurricanes, you can never count out Brian Hartline.

from 11W forums...

WR Chance Robinson talking about his visit to Ole Miss this past weekend.

"Coach Kiffin told me, if you want to be a draft pick, then you go to Ole Miss or Ohio State. He was so straightforward about it and I liked that.
He said, if you're an offensive tackle, then you go to Miami. Coach Cristobal breeds offensive linemen, but Ole Miss and Ohio State breed receivers.
"That is big for me. Coach Kiffin is such a chill coach. He is not glamorous. He is the same all of the time and he just keeps it real. Everything he was saying made sense."
Shoutout to Lane Kiffin for doing some recruiting for us - sounds like it really resonated with Chance.

Chance Robinson’s dad told Wiltfong they will make it despite him also having a playoff game.
That's one nice thing about evening games, gives OOS recruits (especially ones further away) more time to get into town after their games on Friday. Glad he is making it, we are more than fine with 3 WRs (bearing in mind that Smith and McClellan have taken visits...Smith seems more than solid but McClellan you never know on with Mizzou having a good season)...but hard to turn down a player of Robinson's caliber for sure.

ON3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons on WR Chance Robinson.

On Chance's visit they really got to business on the ins and outs Chance's game, how they would use him in Ohio State's scheme, and how they would coach and develop him.
Basically it was left on the table for him, if you want to be a part of this program the spot is wide open for you.
Based on what I'm hearing a few days post-visit, this one is extremely tight between Ohio State and Miami.
It could go either way.

Chance Robinson: Birm's gut is he sticks with Miami. OSU was optimistic as of Monday though. If OSU then pivots for a 4th WR then maybe watch Nick Marsh, but it's questionable if he's Hartline's type of WR (great athlete but not as polished). OSU does want a 4th WR though but perhaps a FR transfer could work too once Hartline sees what Egbuka, Fleming, etc. do.

I get taking a 4th if it's someone the caliber of Robinson, or if the staff is nervous on Smith not signing. But beyond that, I really don't get taking a 4th.

I think the staff is worried about the Portal clearing out guys that the NFL draft doesn’t. OSU could(being the operative word) lose up to 7 players and realistically 5. I won’t name names, but I’m sure you all can guess the names. The 2024 and 2023 classes did not come to sit, and these young pups are already ready to bite(2023, I can’t speak for ‘24 yet). Robinson is who Hartline really wants, but I’ve also seen that the right WR in the Portal would also be pursued if he can’t land Robinson

Not good. The HS QB for SFE as well as Chaminade Madonna(where other fellow Miami commit, Jojo Trader plays, along with the #1 WR in the country who’s currently committed to OSU)
