FL RB Keith Byars II (Purdue Signee)

Tmust have been about 700+ people inside of the WHAC (seemed like there were three groups: APC campers, Youth campers, and droves of parents). Hopefully someone got a good shot of him.

Was that the All-Positions Camp?

If so, that camp is 1500 campers. I went to it last year and one of the guys running it said that there is two "All-Positions" camps, and each has about 1500 kids.

That place was packed last year. OSU needs to add a third All-Positions Camp.

If ever there was an argument about what ONE seemingly small injury can do to an athlete, Keith Byars is it. As fantastic and long as his career was AS A PRO, it was only a shadow of the Keith Byars prior to his broken foot. I swear, if that injury had not happened this is a name that would be mentioned in the hushed tones reserved for Jim Brown and Gale Sayers. Anyone who saw his game against Illinois when the bucks came back from 21 - 0 and 28 - 3 to win knows just what a very special running back he was. Grab the kid now.

I agree

KB was the best OSU back I ever saw live. I missed Archie, but that list includes Eddie and MoC and all the others. He was a really solid pro back, great hands, great durability, solid moves.

I heard he's been a silent verbal since kindergarten...he's a lock.

You know, reading this totally took the sting out of losing Boren due to Boren's being a life-long scUM fan. There's no way that KBII will be wearing anything other than scarlet and gray in 2013.

I'm sure that the sting is long gone by now, but I hope that knocked wood after you submitted this post.

This thread was an interesting read. Note D Carter mentions as well.

Thought it needed a bump.

:oh:

Ant, Duron (C Carter's son) is a wr from Fla, or were you using sarcasm?

Keith was/is one of my all time favorite Buckeyes, I was a frosh suffering through the first twenty minutes of the Illinois game (sitting in front of two mouthy Illini fans, sitting in the south stands) when he took the Bucks on his back, lost his shoe and led the Bucks to a great come back victory in what should have been his Heisman moment except for the famous/nearly pure luck Flutie heave.

His son is definitely one I'll want to keep an eye/ear on.

Just noticed this thread was just bumped up, thought it was new
