If I had a guess, JPT knew everything and dealt with most of it behind a closed door. Right or wrong, it's a bit old school and if actually handled, is a good way to deal with it. It's because the old school methods were abused (read: don't do that again with a wink) that the public forums we see today are required. See FSU as a perfect example. While there is no legitimate comparison of rape with tats, one could argue that neither followed the process and certainly lead to the undoing of a staff in one case.
