2026 FL QB Dia Bell (Texas Verbal)

“I was speechless,” Bell told Eleven Warriors of earning his OSU offer. “Ohio State has been a dream school for a long time so when coach Day offered me, I just kind of went blank.”

“Coach Day and coach Chip Kelly told me they watched my film and they referenced it back to basketball, they said I played like a point guard. Coach Day referenced back to last year and said he saw me at camp and that he’s very comfortable extending the offer right now. I was very excited.”

IF the number is actually true, Joel Klatt should STFU...
But I doubt this is the real number, more interweb rumors
Despite who say's it, there are certain situations where I would argue that to be the case, if there is not a beneficial reason other than money to be there.

There are already kids which appear to be NIL journeymen, and for purposes of the NFL it is unclear what they are showing NFL teams, who may draft them the future. So, NIL can be short sighted.

However, if true this is a healthy sum of money, and Texas relies on their QB enough to make it a decent landing spot.

If Bell was offered a $9.2mil NIL deal, then I can only imagine what they had to offer Ewers and Arch to stay... that's one of the main reasons I don't think this number is true

Even if the NIL figure is remotely accurate or not, not a bad decision at all. UT has good offense suited to a high-level QBs. So do we but you can't get them all. As said in the Hart thread, we'll get our guy in '26 no matter how it happens.

Bias alert though - after having attended a few UT games (both at OSU and in Austin), I can't help but love their fans...every one I met were top notch and very fun to tailgate with, so I hope they can wreck the SEC personally. One of the best fanbases I have ran into. That said, I want to destroy them if they come into our crosshairs at some point.
