It’s interesting that the “authenticity” angle came up again, here.
I’ve seen people on 11W speculate that one of the issues Ohio State may have with securing elite tackles is that Studrawa et al don’t promise starting spots to recruits and instead “authentically” lay out the grind that it will take to start at Ohio State (or whatever).
I don’t know how much validity there is to that theory, but it is interesting to consider since “authenticity” comes up so often from recruits.
Yeah, it’s definitely a strategic choice by the coaches... value players who buy in to putting in the work over the ones who value being told they have a starting spot lined up for them (potentially if this theory is correct).Maybe, but it also works in our favor a lot too and leads to fewer transfers down the road imo.

We have one of the best lines in the country right now, so it’s going well at the moment.
As has been discussed ad nauseam, it will be interesting to see how they manage to transition over the next few years and if some of the underrated guys step up who have gotten good reviews (like Fryar) and really show that the staff knows what they’re doing with this possible preference that potentially costs them in some recruitments.
My fault, I mistook Fryar for Luke WylperFryar was a composite 3-star, #510 overall and #28 OG out of high school.
Committed to Alabama.
