2025 FL LB Tarvos "TJ" Alford is a Buckeye!!!

Gotta believe this is a direct benefit of James L. He's young enough, and current enough to still be in the HS kids memories. Certainly in the HS kids dads. If was me, I'd be looking at the D configuration, and haven't seen enough 3 LBs on the field, cutting down PT by a third. Or maybe what tOSU has in the pipeline already doesn't make one player indispensable. Or I could be overthinking again. Glad I've got a few brain cells left.

I think you Can sell someone like Alford on rotating. So sure, OSU doesn’t run a classic 4-3, but they will rotate players in at LB. Simon, Styles, Reese and Hicks have taken a bulk of the snaps after 2 weeks. You can sell him on how long term he’d be fresher in the NFL

In my experience, history has shown that tOSU will play many in the 'pre-season'. When gets to the shank of the season, B10 adversaries, then the line-ups will 'settle down', and coaches will play their best players, the ones that give them the best chances to win. Minutes dwindle for those not on the 1's, as the blow-outs don't usually happen during league. One of the best rules implemented by NCAA was the four-game rule, whereas players may play in four games before losing a year of eligibility. Wonder how many players will willingly burn a year to get into the Xichigan game, as we're up 50-6 in the fourth quarter? Hopefully we'll see. Would imagine that the gold pants would be more meaningful if players could get a little dirt on their uniform....Go Bucks!
