He's a kid that they're waiting to evaluate, similar to the 3stars in OH that OSU is circling back to as well. It doesn't help that he's playing S, and some coaches may not see the vision in bulking him up to a LB. There's also A LOT of DBs in FL, and many CBs that will turn into S that I see coaches prefer

Jacob Curry schedules visit to OSU for the Minn game.
Also visits OU this weekend and will be visiting Auburn on 10/11.

New LB offer Jacob Curry tells Simmons his visit to OSU on 10/4 for the Minn game is an unofficial visit and that “I could even see myself setting up an official visit there.” Also “Coach [James] Laurinaitis is a legendary linebacker coach. He was a great player there and he’s done some great things. They’re the No. 1 team in the nation and it’s a great program.“
Takes his OV to Oklahoma this weekend. It will be his first trip there. If we can get him back for an OV, it’d be huge as we’d have the leg up on OU for number of visits to each school.

LB target Jacob Curry will have both of his parents with him on his OV this weekend. That’s always important. He will take an OV to FSU next weekend. That game is at noon vs Pitt. Much better he’s going to that instead of the big night game vs Miami. OU is still the front runner right now, we got a chance to make a big move this weekend.

Too soon old, too late smart
Silly question. Does JL show this recruit around, as in touring the Woody trophy room, where he points out his (among other) LB trophies, awards etc? He's not quite Katzenmoyer size, but Arvell notwithstanding, seems like smaller, lighter, quicker LBs are the medium now.

Honestly, I'd definitely show a recruit all of my awards if I was JL. Shows that you know the position at a high level. I'd also make sure to show the kid my office with my pro bowls, because not only does it show that JL can develop you in college but also in the NFL at a high level. IMO he can get to OSU as a frosh at around 215lbs, that's what Steel Chambers and Garrett Stover were the same weight as frosh.

True dat. And then have Coach Mick show his 'before and after' pictures of Steel and Garrett, as being chiseled hunks of marble. Note: there are plenty of other Buckeyes that have gone through a marvelous transformation with Coach Mick. But yeah, can see JL humbly leading the recruit through the Buckeye trophy room, casually stopping by all his trophies....am thinking that his pro trophies are residing in his office, though.
