Ohio State five-star 2026 WR commit Chris Henry Jr. and 2026 WR target Kayden Dixon-Wyatt will visit OSU Saturday and 2028 TE Asher Ghioto picks up an OSU offer.
Ohio State has offered its fourth prospect in the 2028 class.
Buckeyes tight end coach Keenan Bailey offered Florida tight end Asher Ghioto on Tuesday after speaking with his high school teammate and fellow OSU target, four-star 2026 tight end Corbyn Fordham, about Ghioto.
“It was amazing,” Ghioto told Eleven Warriors of his OSU offer. “I was just getting out of class and my teammate Corbyn Fordham had texted me and told me the coaches texted him about me asking them about me and basically asked him if they should offer me and how I was as a person and stuff like that. When I got to Corbyn, they FaceTimed him and put me on the phone and (coach Bailey) basically let me know he wanted to offer me a scholarship there.”
Ghioto says he’ll likely make his first visit to OSU in October when the Buckeyes face Nebraska.

Finally, defensive end/tight end Asher Ghioto was the fourth player Ohio State offered in the 2028 class and he’ll make his first gameday visit to Columbus on Saturday. Ghioto is the high school teammate of Fordham.
“I’ve heard a lot of great things,” Ghioto told Eleven Warriors in late August about what he’s heard about OSU from Fordham. “Just about the program, the way they coach, the way they treat their players and the recruits. I’ve heard a lot of great things and I’m really excited to get up there and see what they’re all about.”

Asher Ghioto says Ohio State has been recruiting him hard since the contact period for 2028 recruits opened up and he’s planning to make it to a game this fall.
He said NIL will be a small factor in his decision (starting to become the new “education matters”). Says he will go anywhere in the country, he doesn’t have to stay in Florida. Said he wants to go to a program that’s big on faith and will develop him on and off the field, as a NFL player and as a man. He wants a coach that will mentor him and prepare him for life after football.

Asher Ghioto will visit for the Oregon or Michigan game he says. Wiltfong has Ohio State way more in this one than people are giving us credit for.
I’d be pleasantly surprised if he’s a real option due to the money it would take to land him, but I’ve always said he’s absolutely an Ohio State type kid. He talks a lot about wanting to play for a faith based program and for a coach who will develop him not only into a future NFL player, but develop him as a man and prepare him for life after football.

Ghioto said Ohio State is absolutely a priority and at the top of his list, one of the schools he’s heavy on. Said he talks to LJ every day, Ryan Day as well and they’re doing an excellent job recruiting him. Said he can’t wait to get back to Ohio State for a game and chop it up with the GOAT.

I'm inclined to say Miami beats out the field here. Cash plus home field advantage rather than just cash wins out imo. And Miami is a hot team on the field as much as it hurts to say it. I'd love to be wrong though.

Though I'm inclined to agree. Especially with how much OSU is spending on the CRAZY talented 2027 class. Ghioto is an OSU/Day type of recruit(interested in a faith based program, wants to be developed as a man and not just a football player, big on coaching and player relationships) but Miami will offer more than likely more than double OSU. But if OSU is able to land DJ's little brother and Parkinson, then missing on Ghioto isn't such a big deal
