Related to former Buckeye Ryan Pickett.

Ryan Pickett was (to me at least), a symbol of tOSU going more national than simply midwest on a recruiting basis. John Cooper (ol' 2-10-1), went into foreign territory (Florida), and came out with this guy. Maybe RB07 will be able to amplify (cuz I forget), but remember Pickett as a very serviceable DT, who played 3 years for the Buckeyes. Don't remember where he was drafted or if he played NFL or not. But he did signify that tOSU was going 'more' national with their recruiting. Go Bucks!

In terms of recruiting Pickett, I was too young to even have an opinion there. Just remember his last year at OSU really and he was a stalwhart. I didn't watch enough NFL to really say how did in that next step, but it seems like he did pretty well. No matter what, would love to see Booker land in Columbus. Genes don't lie most of the time.

Pickett was a 1st-round pick and had a long NFL career

For months, Pickett has said Ohio State is “for the most part” the favorite in his recruitment and while he’s a take for the Buckeyes, the four-star defensive end from Tampa (Fla.) Wharton still hasn’t made his pledge.
Ohio State still looks very strong for Pickett but Florida State, Louisville and Miami are the other favorites.
