Five loss seasons - a look through history

Jake;1825164; said:
The type of "fans" you speak of are typically younger, children of the BCS and internet era, where any season absent the "NC" is a total failure. If they can't thump their chests on message boards and buy "national champion" t-shirts the season is a flop. As such, in their eyes, JT has only had one successful season.
... and these fans were 10 years old or younger when JT won the title.

Christ, was 2002 that long ago?!

I'm getting old.

Are you suggesting we are looking at a potential 5 loss season? If so, I'd take the UNDER on that number of losses. ALL IN!

Akron = yawn
Toledo = yawn
Miami = even Gruden won't be able to stop the beating
Colorado = cool match up, but win
Michigan State = next year's Sparty won't be this year's Sparty, and we would have beaten this year's version
Nebraska = toughest on the schedule BY FAR
Illinois = Bucks win
Wisky = Tressel in a home revenge game? Maybe not quite 2010 Purdue-esque, but I'm not scared
Indiana = HAHAHAHA!
Purdue = Hey Hope, Get used to it
Penn State = Even 11 walk-ons on offense won't have enough moxie to win this one for Joe Pa
Michigan = nuff said

I really have trouble seeing 3 losses. Nebraska is tough, but the rest of the schedule matches up really well, especially with the players leaving other schools this year.

If a team has lost four of the regular season games, they wouldn't have to worry about a five loss season because of the possible B10 CG. Just saying. :wink2:

Bump for our new Nebraska friends.

Danke schoen, mein freund.

Nothing shocking in those numbers. In the past fifty years Nebraska has had ridiculously sustained success - excluding the abortion of a failure that was the Bill Callahan Era.

Man, that guy sucked.
