Don't alter you career for insurance. Find a way to get insurance (high risk which carries a low monthly deductible and is used for certain life events , OSU Alumni Assocation medical insurance, etc.) If you throw away a career for benefits you will kick yourself in the ass forever. The jobs with the best benefits are usually low risk (and low pay). There's an old expression, I don't remember who said it but it goes something like "There is not a lack of opportunity in America, just a lack of courage." If you want to be a photographer go for it and yes find a way to get some sort of 'minimal' health coverage. Especially if you are healthy. Check it out online, I am sure there are many places to go.they're pushing me to find something with that. I don't plan on altering my plans on their account, but it would be nice if I were able to tell them how uncommon such benefits are in the current market.
