Talk about a guy getting what he deserves. Jeez. West Virginia is officially a smarter school than Nebraska was when they hired Bill Callahan instead of Bo Pelini.
Of course, maybe I am a bit biased, because he sticks up for Ben Roethlisberger and bashed on the Pirates for announcing their new manager the day after the Colts - Patriots game, which was the day of the Steelers - Ravens Monday Night Football Homecoming Game at Heinz Field. I believe he uttered the words "Where is the story going to show up? Page 6, Local News?"
But yeah, anyway, the Big 12 really is quite overrated.
-They are 5-8 in BCS Bowl games.
-Since the BCS era began, they are 5-5 in the Cotton Bowl (Generally a mismatch for an SEC team, as it is Big 12 #2 against SEC #4)
-They are 6-4 in the Holiday Bowl in the BCS era, which is a mismatch against them. Luckily, the Pac-10 is a one-deep conference.
-In the Alamo Bowl, they are 4-6 against our Big 10 in the BCS era. This includes but is not limited to these mismatches:
1998: #4 Kansas State loses to unranked Purdue 37-34.
2002: #14 Colorado loses to unranked Wisconsin 31-28.
2006: #18 Texas barely beats 6-6 Iowa 26-24.
-In the BCS era, they are 5-5 in the Insight Bowl.
-In the BCS era, they are 3-7 in the Independence Bowl. One of their wins was against Miami (OH).
It is about time the media bashes on the Big 12, specifically Oklahoma. They are the true culprit.
Every once in a while, the real, logical Colin enters college football discussion. Logical Colin is almost always present in MLB and NFL topics. I love listening to him talk about those two leagues. Especially the NFL draft. But, he is generally illogical in regards to NCAA football.muffler dragon;1048128; said:FWIW, I listened to CC for a short bit on ESPN radio this morning. I couldn't believe my ears. He said that he was going to "tazer" anyone who bashed the Buckeyes today (1/3/08), because last year's game was "just one bad game". He then went on to lambast Stoops and Choke-lahoma (his words). I was surprised.
