can someone with more football knowledge explain why they go for 2 there?

No diff between up 4 and up 5. Up six is good is Texas misses an XP, or if they somehow kick 2 FG's in the last 2 minutes.

Only downside wold be a defensive 2-pointer on the try. Then a Texas FG would win it.
