I hear ya. Look on the bright side ... baseball season camps are just six weeks away, so at least you have the distraction of 'this year being the year the Reds focus on playing fundamentally sound baseball' to look forward to, instead of the hollow lip-service from the Buckeyes.

:tic: Reds? Did you actually just use the Reds to try and make me feel better?

J/K, actually I am quite optamistic about '09. I thank the outgoing group for their hard work and dominance over scUM but I think better days are coming after we turn the page.

Not being critical of TP but of this general theme of things we hear from the WHAC.

Personaly, I'm sick of hearing this stuff. I know they have to say it and they probably even mean it but how many missions have we gone on since Jan '07? No more motivational dvd's, no more door lock combinations, quit telling us what you are going to do, just go do it.

Less talkie, more winnie.

I don't recall many coming out and publicly saying that though. Also the majority of the team that has been losing those games is now gone. Now I love these seniors more than anyone, but maybe that class mentally took a beating after those big loses? If a team keeps losing big to great teams then I bet that the team starts believing they're not as good. I think the next years class is sorry to say going to be younger but overall is going to have a lot more upside to their games. The new talent coming in doesn't really know what it feels like to lose the big games yet so IMO I would take it serious from TP. Terrelle so far for a freshman has a desire to be the greatest and the best and I think we'll see that rub off on the team...

Also who's coming in early this year for spring ball?

that's fine, I'm just trying to figure out how you're laying this at Terrelle's feet (when he and Todd took the lead), or comparing his comments/attitude to possible lipservice by others.

Like I said originally, not meant as a shot at TP whatsoever. I think he means it and will actually do something about it.

Hopefully with Pryor starting from day 1 next year, and his great IQ, Tress will open up the playbook a little bit like we did with Troy...I loved watching that offense in 06. Be nice to see us running more shotgun plays, and getting our Wr's some open room like you guys said...Should be a great year next year!

And lets not forget...USC is losing Maulauga (sp?) Cushing and a few others on Defense...and i know they have buttloads of talent still, but that will definitely help our cause.

Most fans don't hear the good things said about them in the media.
I know I didn't really notice/appreciate all the positive press we got during the season last year until well after it was all over and done with.

All we've heard about all year is how great the Big 12 offenses were.
Colt McCoy is the most accurate QB in the history of organized sport, has more rushing yards than Vince Young.
No other conference in the country can keep up with the Big 12 this year, hands down the best in the nation, not even close.
And most talking heads were on UT's side when they saw how that tiebreaker went down.

You heard about how great the Big 12 was all year. You didn't hear anything about McCoy or Texas until October 11th...and probably more accurately the 18th. When we lost for Tech we were forgotten until one week when we were getting the sympathy cards. Outside of the three weeks between OU and Tech and the week of the tie breaker there really wasn't much Texas talk going on. Just Big 12 talk.

Well im guilty. I remember reading an article preseason about the Heisman front runners...and They mentioned Colt and how he could win if he repeated his Freshman season...and then i began to laugh and said Colt McCoy? No way...and Texas? No way....But after they beat Okla i realized how good McCoy really was.

No post-game analysis, just a word of Thanks. Thanks to all at Buckeyeplanet.... Gold Star and Hat's off to the Mods (4 Stars for the Mods) and everyone that is envolved with making sure the Scarlet and Silver Planet keeps turning. Best forum on the net, ALL the others, including Hornfans should take note.

As I said, No game analysis, but a few very moving moments from the game.

1. tOSU band performing Script Ohio before the game. " Unmatched "

2. Tyson Gentry out for the coin toss.

3. T. Boeckman.... Heck of a game.

4. JL and Colt at the end of the game hugging,,,that's right I said hugging, and it made me cry, so what.

5. Coach Tress comments after the game. Class Class Class Class.

Wont even get into the T. Pryor stuff because this guy will re-write tOSU history.

Thanks Again Buckeyeplanet........ Class All The Way.

Yeah this was a tough season but don't listen to the media and the damn Polls next season because they can keep us off track maybe things will change since we never won a BCS Game While the BCS is on FOX but it all changes either next season or the season after.
