Nah, not at all...hell, I loved that game.

My only question is how in the hell did Peterson get back on the plane? Did he have to buy an extra ticket for those humongous cajones?

I'd love to see a Boise St/tOSU matchup...

lol, yea that last play was pretty insane. i can see why they did it though. if they just kicked the extra point i bet that OU woulda won. they needed to end it right there and just be glad that they had the opportunity if they missed the 2 pt conversion.

That was only one of the huge calls he made...the multiple shift TD to get to that play was amazing as was the hook & lateral.

Thank you for being one of 3 people on the planet who refer to this play by the proper name. Just because it is a word-play on the name of a specific kind of firetruck doesn't mean it IS a firetruck.

yep, all 3 were amazing. i dunno if u watched the post game, but they were interviewing peterson and he said that they have been practicing that hook and ladder ALL year long as well as the statue of liberty. and it crazy to think that they used all 3 of those plays just at the right time and how they all fit together.

I was thinking it was their only choice right after AP scored the TD...it was obvious the BSU D couldn't stop them again, so if they kept scoring, it would come down to 2 pt conversions anyway after 2 OTs...why not take it out of OU's hands, who just converted one, and take one play to with the game? It was really the only logical choice, IMO.

they will be the number 5 or 6 team in the country next year. reiterating what the fox announcers said last night
I don't envy the Washington Huskies next year.

Sep 1 @Syracuse
Sep 8 Boise State
Sep 15 Ohio State

Sep 22 @UCLA
Sep 29 USC
Oct 6 California

This is what you call a front-loaded schedule. The Huskies could very well be the best 1-5 or 2-4 team in the history of college football on Oct 7, and we'd never know it.

If forty6and2's prediction holds true, Washington may wind up playing three Top-5 teams in the first five weeks, and almost certainly four Top-10 teams in six weeks.

The hook and lateral play will go down as one of the great plays in college football history, along with the Flutie "Hail Mary" , Stanford-Cal kick return, and any others you want to throw in there. It's an even nicer touch when they'll be able to show the halfback TD pass / statue of liberty play right after, and that BSU won the game instead of just had a fluke play.

This is going to look like a train running over a Yugo.

Apparently, Yugo Now makes these as well:

Someone needs to do a drug test on Washington's AD... that man's on crack! Of course, if some miracle happens and they end up 5-1 or 6-0 through that stretch they'll be next year's version of the GOAT.

hey, amidst all the celebration of the hook and ladder (which is CORRECT, considering it was invented by a Hell's Kitchen FIre Dpartment), the multiple motion, backup DB halfback option, and the Statue Of Liberty, don't forget that at one point, Boise State was setting up the swinging gate too, but OU called a timeout.

and why are these plays "gimicks," and why is it the "old fashioned" fans that don't like them? the last time i checked, all those plays have been around for years and years, certainly much longer than my 31 years on earth... this isn't anything new...

it's like people who make out Arkansas' "wildcat" formation as being something innovative. umm... HELLO? it's the single wing. coaches have been using that formation for 85 years!

okay, i'm off my soapbox.

are all the games shown on espn classic games that were initially broadcasted on abc or espn? my memory recalls that they are, but i'm certainly not certain. it's depressing to me that fox will likely not re-air their bcs games. instead, we have to buy them for download or use an alternative internet source for download.
