12 users banned for 2 weeks...most of them are regular contributors.

We have a rule here that is solid: Do not bash the players, coaches, or the program.

If that is too much to ask during a game, please don't post during the games.

We do not enjoy doing this...as a matter of fact, I know all of the mods would have much rather simply watched what turned out to be an incredible game instead of editing, deleting, PMing, and removing people and posts that could not stick to the rules.

I hate that it has to be done this way, but we have a great community here that is worth holding to such expectations.

Let's do better going forward.
 
I get pretty upset during the game. No doubt.

And I usually keep BP on the laptop next to me. I post some thoughts, and I admit I've probably said some things out of frustration that maybe called out a player for a bad play (penalties always get me :p), but when things get really bad...I just stick with watching the game and pacing/whatever. It's really not that hard to just take a step away from the screen and not say something entirely stupid about a kid playing a sport.

What I don't understand is, we all know the rules. We all know what happens when the rules are broken. Your mother doesn't work here (with the exception of jwins/deety). Clean your own shit up. Making another Buckeye fan clean up what you already knew you shouldn't have posted is being a complete fucking dick. Why the fuck would anyone want to be a mod when they spend all night, during a fucking great game, the last game of the season, cleaning up whiny bullshit? It baffles me.

True that.

I remember saying some thing in a game thread and then quickly editing it...just not worth it when it's out of sheer frustration.

Our kids play hard. Tonight was something to be proud of.

Objective Look?????

I will try to be objective about this post. First, OSU played their hearts out.
Second, the much maligned offensive line did a pretty damn good job for much of the game. Third, Pryor is still a freshman. Fourth, Texas made plays when they had to. Fifth, OSU passing game was substandard for a good part of the game. Two things were evident to me. Pryor is not yet a consumate passer. As a receiver Pryor made a great play and almost a second. (I am not supporting a move to "Z" for him)

All in all, I am proud of the Bucks. They showed a lot of character and if they had made a play or two more, they would have won the game.

By the way Texas is a damn good team too.

Go Bucks.

So damned close. Russell makes that tackle and I still like their chances. stop 2, maybe 3, plays and they win and Fox is interviewing JT and Pryor instead of Mack and McCoy. Game of inches.

I have to admit, I haven't felt this bad about a loss since "The Drive" the Broncos did against the Browns in the 80's. OSU had that game won and let it get away.

Texas is a damned talented team with tremendous coaching, but I had to laugh when Mack said he was voting them #1 next week. He may be the only one. The Horns' only hope for a splt was waxing the Bucks, not winning in the last seconds.
