So...some eye-popping/hilarious story lines breaking out in the stock market this week (or the last 3-4 weeks really)
Somehow Gamestop - the almost defunct company that paid $3.42 for my used video games in 2007- may bankrupt the Mets new owner in 2021??? Because some people on a message board/reddit came together to screw him/hedge funds over?
Literally cannot make up news anymore. We’ve lost the plot yet it’s real life. I’m alternating between laughing and being terrified (none of this is sustainable and shows how made up everything is).
But I wish I would have gotten in on this plan.
(Only stock/market related thread I could find. I think there’s one on the poli board but I’m not venturing in there. And hopefully this one stays light-hearted.)
