Unfortunately, the person parked in the disabled vehicle on the shoulder was killed instantly, while the psycho driving his Mustang 130mph down the shoulder survived and is in the hospital.

One dead in fiery crash on I-71

SYCAMORE TWP . ? A 60-year-old old man who had pulled his disabled vehicle off the interstate Monday is dead after a man racing down Interstate 71 slammed into it while driving along the shoulder at a high rate of speed, highway officials said.

James Lester of Loveland was pronounced dead at the scene. His vehicle was hit just before noon by 57-year-old Stanley Ivey of Louisville, Ohio. The impact caused Lester?s Buick to explode into a ball of flames as it traveled from the median side of the shoulder across multiple lanes.

Ivey?s black Mustang convertible with red racing stripes slammed into the concrete barrier.

Witnesses told the Enquirer that it appeared that Ivey was traveling at more than double the posted 65 mph speed limit.

Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said several motorists traveling through Warren County called the department shortly before the crash to say that there was a Mustang traveling at an excessive rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic

Geez, I mean, the guy was 60. His life was over anyhow.

Looking for proof? He was driving a fucking Buick. That had broken down on the side of the road. What else could he possibly have to look forward to if he had been reduced to this condition?

Wow between this comment and the one about hoping the NFL "Going Pink" thread was about Ines Sainz makes me think you're a swell guy... :roll1:

It said witnesses in Warren County called about this guy shortly before the crash, and the crash happened just near Cincinnati. Thats a good 45+ minute plus drive, so you gotta wonder if he was going even faster than guesstimated here. What an idiot, sorry to hear about the victim here. Rest in peace.

My dad drove past that on the way home from work, and called his buddy who's a state trooper. He said that the cops barely tried to save the guy in the mustang, they didn't even care if he lived or died.

Lebanon -- Warren county -- to Blue Ash - Montgomery -- is a little over 12 miles. I lived in Landen for two years, on the line between the two, and made the same drive to work. It goes from two to six lanes, to four, to three and crosses an outerbelt and the traffic begins getting very thick around King's Island all the way in to the city.

Fatal crash driver cited often for speeding

The driver at the heart of a high-speed crash that killed a 60-year-old hospital executive who had pulled his disabled car to the side of Interstate 71 on Monday has a long history of speeding.

Stanley Ivey, 56, of Louisville, Ohio, was cited by the Liverpool Municipal Court just four months ago for driving 22 miles over a 30 mile-an-hour speed limit.

Prior to that in October 2009, he was also cited for speeding in West Virginia. Earlier that month, he was convicted of failing to control his vehicle by the Canton Municipal Court in a case that involved an auto accident. In June 2009, Ivey was convicted in the Massillon Municipal Court for driving 82 miles per hour in a 55 zone.

Of the Ohio cases, six points were added to his driving record. Points reflect a driver?s history and can result in higher insurance as well as suspension of a driver?s license if enough points ? 12 ? are amassed over a three-year period.
