I was in Indian Guides first (as a youngster) then got old enough for Webelos, then Cub Scouts. :p
Indian Guides were affiliated with the YMCA.

The Cub Scouts are directly affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. The different ranks for Cub Scouts, from lowest to highest (when I was one): Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, Lion, Webelos. A Webelo was a Cub Scout doing prep stuff to become a Boy Scout, which then had it own lowest to highest ranks.

For what it's worth...

And all of us would know this if we weren't so busy getting laid.

(Okay, for some of us we were preoccupied with D&D. :( )

You are kicked out of Cub Scouts when you're 12, so, unhappily, I wasn't getting laid. Sex for me at that age was all rumors.

And D&D hadn't been invented yet. All part the the Feeling Old & Sad thing.

On a semi-related note, my dad had a similar moment with me this past weekend.

He called me up, all excited because he found of DVD copy of "CannonBall Run" on sale. I had no idea what that was or who was in it. He fussed at me for 2 minutes and then handed the phone to my mom and had to walk away. Poor guy!

Here's the names of a lot of them....
