You have to be a special athlete to play the LEO position.. watching his tape, do you really think Adam Homan has the athleticism and ability of a Vernon Gholston, Thad Gibson, Nathan Williams?

I meant I'm not ready to hand Homan a 38 jersey...he could end up at TE, DE or LB just as easily...and with only one scholarship FB on the roster next year (assuming Olson is in fact done) I don't see any problem with taking two fullbacks this year, especially if one nets us an All-B10 LG.

Zach may have been blowing a smoke screen, but in his recent BN interview he kinda minimized the idea that he and his bro would be attending the same school. Something to the effect that it would be really cool, but that they haven't really talked about it.

Now, I'll be the first to admit that I never thought Zach would get an offer, but now that it's come, it seems from Zach perspective, that it's not related to his bro at all.

If they cater the offense to Pryor, would we even see a fullback on the field all that often?
OK, I know that we will not be running the RR spread, but I do recall WVU having some pretty nice fullbacks recently. So, I'm sure you could have a fullback involved in play that would be tailored to Pryor. But then again, I think the style of play will be tailored to the QB talent we have and the QB talent will be tailored to style of play the coaches want...which is something in the middle.

If we have good fullbacks, they'll see the field if for nothing more than to pave the way. Although I have to admit I'd love to see a FB like Brandon Joe motoring down the field some too.

Yes. OSU will always use I-formation to a significant extent, at least as long as Tressel is coach, and regardless of who the quarterback is. And the better the fullback is, the more they'll use it. Remember the 2004 UM game where Troy Smith destroyed the Wolverines by land and air, and Teddy Ginn ripped off a devastating punt return? Of course you do, and those are the things probably best remembered by most OSU fans from that game. But equally important was the OSU scoring drive that started from inside their own ten, and commenced with Brandon Joe crushing the ball up Michigan's gut about six consecutive times, behind Schnittker. Terrelle Pryor can exceed the loftiest expectations, and he won't be better than Smith was in that game. And yet OSU went back to power running from the I at a critical time. They'll do so in the future.

Guys, you can still run power football out of spread personnel. The fullback is dead...the H-back is now the key. Matt Keller would have been excellent in the spread.

Anyway, if we need to split this discussion to continue we can...but back to Zach.
