FB Dionte' Johnson (Official Thread)

I'll agree Joe's injury is a big point...but Schnittker has been putrid.
The understatement of the day is saying Schnittker has been putrid. His ability to miss blocks is truly astounding. As for Joe, he doesn't seem to want to really be the type of FB OSU relies on; it seems that he fancies himself as more of a RB.

Watching Pepper's boy Saturday was the one big positive I took from the game. None of the other stuff (perfromance of Pittman, Smith, etc.) means much because Indiana flat out stinks. However, Dionte's desire to be on the field and hit someone hard was palatable, even on a TV screen.

I thought the seniors put a moratorium on underclassmen talking to the media? good or bad

I think it's interviews the week prior to a game...underclassmen might be allowed to talk to reporters once the game has been playes, and only about that game.

For whatever reason Dionte Johnson got playing time this weekend, it was a blessing in disguise. He is the first Fullback this year that I have seen who actually knocked a few heads and sustained his lead blocks. Although I did see him hit someone and get blown up once, he still hit the guy hard. Thats a BIG improvement at that position in my book!!

I totally agree that would be a very hard formation to stop... anytime when you can pound a team up the middle with them in a nickle type of formation is huge. I think we should give it a whirl sometime.
