It has been a long, hard road for Ohio State fullback Aram Olson, but the South Carolina native is finally healthy and ready to lead the way for the Buckeyes in 2008. Find out what he had to say about his injury and rumors that he was home sick, along with an in-depth look at what the fullback position will look like this year with OSU losing three seniors at the position.

Cont'd ...

Bill Green has given us permission to pass along that Aram will seek a medical redshirt this season.

The foot has not healed properly.

I thought a medical redshirt (particularly a 2nd redshirt year) was not applied for until an additional year of eligibility is needed, i.e. eligibility would otherwise be completed

That is so sad:( I really wanted to see play and know he would have done extremely well. I pray that this will not turn out to be another sad case like Mike D'Andrea.

My interpretation as well. Perhaps he is saying that Aram - having redshirted once already - will sit out in anticipation of receiving his medical RS after 5 years. He is certainly a text book case for approval.

Seriously doubt they'll move Sweat or Rolle.

Two great young LB's, and we are supposedly moving Spitler over to LB.

Hell, our FB this year was a former C.

There has been talk about Sweat getting moved to FB. I am not sure about Rolle though. Sweat talked to Sabino about the possibility of moving to FB. No one knows for sure how legit it is until it actually happens, but there is always the possibility.

This kid was such a perfect fit. While Aram didn't have the same publicity as D'Andrea, this feels very much the same to me.

Nevertheless, even if there is no miraculous comeback, there is a lot of life ahead for young Mr. Olson. Best of luck to him either way.
