Favorite seafood establishment

As a chain, I like Bonefish Grill.

Otherwise, the list is too long, and too many different kinds of fish/seafood. For Gulf seafood, Mike Anderson's in Baton Rouge may be my fave. Great lake fish at the Tavern At Twin Lakes in Peninsula, OH. Had great Columbia River sturgeon in Portland, I think at the Daily Grill.

Two best seafood meals: filet of sole Marguery at Jack's in San Fran; seelaks (salmon) at Chateau Guetsch overlooking Lucerne, Switzerland. Neuchatel wine to go with it; Swiss wine is some of the best in the world, but those greedy Swiss drink it all themselves!

It used to be my boat at Pawley's or the Inlet. I've caught, netted, dug, gigged and chopped off some great stuff. I'll take an oyster I've grabbed while it's spitting out saltwater, pried open with a pocketknife, and chased with a beer on a boat anytime....

What about Arthur Treachers?

I like Long Johns much better. Even Captain D's is a little better than Arthur Treachers. Do you think they would accept this coupon in Columbus? I think there is still a Captain D's on Hamilton by Eastland.

Is the Fish Market the pinnacle of Columbus seafood places?

Not anymore.

Someone above mentioned Barcelona. I would agree.

Someone else said McCormick and Schmicks. I have to disagree. At best they are on par with the Fish Market. (but a little more expensive) FWIW, you can get $25.00 off your meal there by making an online registration. (at least you could for a while)

Also decent in Columbus-
RJ Snappers
the Ocean Club

My favorite "seafood" place used to be Harold's Cajun Glory (more cajun than just seafood) but Harold passed away and it is no more.

Definitely still on on Stringtown. Can't say I've ever been. :)

I ate at some place named Johnny's.. just outside of Cleveland...
It's a mob hang out... at the end of some old line of shut down motel inn rooms...
Modell was in there when I was... we didn't hate him then...
but the fish and crab were out of this world

Speaking of mob places... you ever go to Lorenzo's in Trenton, NJ? That place is amazing.

Good softshell crab app too.
