A friend, Annie Baylor, took over the kitchen and added Not Here to the sign outside. After 20 years, the story still adds spice to a fun little restaurant where green chile cheeseburgers, chicken chimichangas and huge piles of nachos are some of the most popular menu items. (For those who haven't yet encountered one, a chimichanga is a giant deep-fried burrito.) The beef for the burgers comes fresh daily from Kaune's, a local organic grocery store. The chimis are among the largest in the City Different. Dave's Not Here may be the last restaurant in Santa Fe that doesn't accept credit cards. Remember that before you wait 20 minutes for a table in this popular dive.
